The Spring Seminar 2020 on “Revolution & Cinema” will take place in 7 and 8 May at the Catholic University of Portugal, Porto. Papers may discuss the following topics:
• postcolonial legacy in film and visual arts;
• decolonization movements and their relationship with cinema and the visual arts;
• the third cinema;
• decolonization of film and art histories;
• collective forms of film and artistic production;
• the role of political cinema;
• activist art or the relationship of art to politics;
• other ways of thinking about cinema as a revolutionary artistic form.
