I am thankful to Fr. Richard Conrad, OP for inviting me to visit Blackfriars, a Dominican Priory and one of the Permanent Private Halls of the University of Oxford, as a researcher in theology on 26 and 27 September.
I will use the library at Blackfriars and the Institute’s own small collection of books. I will converse with Richard on the subject of my MA dissertation in theology and, in particular, on Thomas Aquinas’ thoughts on the theological virtues. I am studying how some contemporary films represent, dramatise, and reflect the theological virtues, exploring how faith is voiced, hope is placed, and love is embodied in this medium.
