British film critic and professor Victor F. Perkins passed away this year on 15 July. His writings on film style and interpretation were key for the consolidation of interpretative criticism in the field of film studies. The University of Warwick, the institution where he taught and researched for years, now hosts a webpage curated by James MacDowell that pays tribute to this remarkable scholar. It includes an introduction by Alastair Phillips, head of the Department of Film and Television Studies at Warwick, and a number of written tributes. I wrote one of them.
